GCE is an annual exhibition dedicated to hands-on electronic systems, embedded programming, and AI-powered applications. Explore highlights and outcomes from the 2023 and 2024 editions below.
Our students in GCE 2024 demonstrated their creativity through remarkable practical projects. Most notably, they developed a smart system to classify customer reviews in restaurants, a project to analyze and categorize people’s emotions to make applications more human-centered, and a system to accurately classify traffic signals to support road safety. These projects illustrated how simple ideas can be transformed into innovative solutions using artificial intelligence.
This event introduces our intensive program for web development students. Over just a few weeks, students progress from the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to building modern interfaces with React, working in teams (Git/GitHub, Code Review), and turning real designs into fast, responsive websites. The result? Graduates ready for the job market, with strong portfolios, the ability to deploy and launch, and hands-on understanding of user interfaces and user experience. Quick examples of our students’ projects: • A reusable marketing page with a component system and light/dark mode, built with React and Tailwind. • A dashboard for a small store displaying sales and inventory with interactive charts (React + Chart.js) and instant filtering.
our students achieve the most notable of which were two distinguished projects that managed to translate ideas into practical solutions for real needs within our environment Muwasalati :This project aims to address the daily challenges related to transportation and mobility. The Project SaturnYarn One of our students presented a remarkable entrepreneurial initiative by creating an online store specialized in showcasing and selling her handmade products.
In 2024, our students showcased their creativity through innovative graphic design projects that brought community-driven ideas to life, alongside the redesign of existing products. Their work featured the development of complete visual identities, including logo creation, eye-catching promotional materials, dynamic social media content, as well as mockups and posters. These projects highlighted an exceptional level of creativity and professionalism. “Nivea and RedBull”. was among the most notable projects.
In 2024, our students successfully carried out a range of advanced networking projects, including building networks from scratch, applying diverse protocols, and configuring the routing systems. Conducted in a real laboratory setting (Real lab), these projects emphasized practical skills while bridging theory with real-world application. As a result, students gained invaluable hands-on experience in network design and operations.
Problem-solving is figuring out what’s wrong, why it’s happening, and what you can do about it—then trying the best option and learning from the result.
